Steven asks…

My son has a new wireless controller for xbox 360. It’s not working. The circle is lit & blinks. Is it broken?

I’d appreciate any advice you have before I go and return it. Thanks!!

answers:

Press the sync button on the 360 and the one on the controller at the same time. They are the little buttons the size or a eraser head. The one on the 360 is located on the front of the console and the one on the controller is located by the plug in port on the front.

Thomas asks…

Should I get a new Xbox 360 controller?

I have had my Xbox 360 for about 5 years. I have been using the same controller for the whole time I’ve had my Xbox. I play it a lot and I was wondering if I should get a new controller. The controller I have is not the best, but it still works. Would getting a new controller help my gameplay? I feel like my controller could be a lot better than the one I am using right now, but all the buttons work fine. Should I still get a new one?

answers:

I think you should probally get a new one. I can see a new controller helping your game play by having a better analog grip (because after 5 years im pretty sure the analogs are really worn out) and just by new buttons. They might work, but a lot of dust can get in there.

Lizzie asks…

Bought a second xbox wireless controller, not sure if i have to configure it to my xbox?

it switches on and the light flashes but when i try to use it nothing happens, but my original controller works fine, and its definitely not the batteries that are the porblem.

Do i have to configure my xbox to recognise the new controller?

answers:

You’ll need to sync it to your 360. Turn both on. Push the little sync button on your 360 which is near the memory card slot. Push the sync button on the top of your controller. The lights on both will spin a few times and then they’ll sync up.

Sandra asks…

Will an xbox 360 controller work on an original xbox?

if not then where can i get an original xbox controller or generic new?

answers:

Unless your were super smart and could rewire the controller so that the rb would be the black button and the lb would be the white button, no

Richard asks…

xbox 360 wireless controller not working, need help!?

I just got a new xbox 360, but my wireless controller is acting funny. The controller turns itself off in the middle of games. When I was playing Halo 3, I started throwing grenades and shooting even though I didn’t press the triggers. Low battery definitely isn’t the problem.

Any help greatly appreciated!

answers:

Try re-syncing the controller with the xbox by pressing the button on top of the controller and the front of the xbox.. Best if there are no other signals in the room while this is happening .. I.e. Tv remotes, light/fan remotes, etc..
