Are Microsoft and Sony thinking of making new consoles soon?

As of E3, we saw so many new games being released for Xbox and PS3, we also saw Wii U and I know Nintendo is currently working on the Wii 2, or Wii HD?

I know Sony has recently released PS Vita and Xbox is doing more stuff with the Kinect. But will Mircosoft and Sony start making new consoles since Nintendo is making the Wii 2? Ive heard rumours both saying yes and no, and that the Wii 2 will outshine both the PS3 and Xbox 360 in terms of hardware.

I personally think that it is not the hardware that gets people to buy the system, but the games that comes with it. Although the hardware does come into play.

So do any of you know? Ive heard rumours of the PS4 coming into play. Can anyone confirm these rumours? And what do you think? Do you think the Wii 2 will outclass the 360 and PS3? Do you think that Microsoft and Sony have anything to be worried about?

Not for a long time. New consoles will take away the “thunder” from the new PS Vita and Kinect, respectively. Frankly, this holds true for anything that either company is currently developing & promoting (new Slim models, PS Move, etc. Etc. Etc.) That is not a very good business model if you are trying to maximize your profits………………

Sony is the superior console of this generation and will have the longest useful shelf life, so I expect Sony to be LAST when releasing the console (meaning Microsoft & Nintendo will release theirs first). I think Sony will wait to see what the competition has to offer and then try to make a console that exceeds both, similar to what they did with the PS3. The Japanese are very patient people and will probably be willing to wait a few years before profits start rolling in (considering this is what basically happened with the PS3).

I do agree that hardware is not the sole reason for purchase, especially if the hardware is similar between the consoles. However, I’d rather not make judgments until Nintendo makes official statements regarding the hardware of their next console.

By the way, if a rumor is confirmed, then it really isn’t a rumor, is it?

Hey, I want to get the 3ds or maybe should I get something else?

So the 3ds is coming out soon. I love my lite and I play it 24/7. I got 2 new GBA games yesterday for 0.99 each!!! I traded in some old games and got 55 bucks in store credit. I didn’t put it toward the 3ds because I’m not sure. Will the DSI or DSI XL price drop? I got 55 bucks at gamestop and I don’t know what to get? Any games?, kinect?, wii fit?,dsi?,dsi xl, 3ds???

What xbox 360 should i get – slim or old, how much memory, kinect? 10 POINTS?

I really want to get an xbox 360 – ps3 and wii suck :)
So anyway, I have $240, and am continuing to save, slowly (i’ve been saving up forever) and I am really wondering which one to get. Lets start with memory and hard drives:

I need an xbox on which i can have 1 xbox live account, AT LEAST 5 other regular profiles, at least halo reach, and maybe some other games (just game saves). With the halo reach online co-op/hard drive, I don’t think I really need to play online co-op. But I DEFINITELY NEED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY NORMAL ONLINE HALO!

About models: the slim is sexy, but I am willing to buy an old xbox 360, as long as it doesn’t have any internal differences (by the way, the touch buttons, and dust on the glossy xbox aren’t a problem for me). I am also willing to buy a used/refurbished xbox, as long as it functions normally.

kinect: the kinect is kind of cool, but I don’t think I want to pay another 100 bucks for it.

Price and buying: as I said, a have about $240 saved up. I am getting just i little money on a weekly bases. It is already the beginning of summer (the time u play less vid games than normal), and I really want to get it SOON. But I am going to be going away for a while in the summer break, so i won’t be able to use it. I want to buy:

xbox 360 (slim or old, idk how many gigs) – first priority
halo reach – second priority

these i can wait for a little while (as long as the xbox comes with a controller):

xbox live 12 months
second wireless controler
other games

So could you help me by giving suggestions when to by, what to by (old), (slim – 250 gigs, 4 gigs or 4gigs + hard drive) , how many gigs, bundles, were to buy, when to buy…. etc….etc……..

Im pretty sure that if you look hard enough you can find an xbox pro with a 20 GB hard drive for around 150. That would certainly be enough for several xbox live accounts and enough space for game demos and videos.

Which way should i get the PS3 Move?

I just got a PS3, coming in the mail soon. I really want to get the Move for it and i have about 150 bucks to spend. What all will i need to start with i see that theres a camera and 2 different types of controllers. I looked at the MOVE bundle which has the game, 1 controller (mic looking thing) and the camera, why doesnt it have the other type of controller? Do you even need the other controller? I also saw the Socom bundle that you can get that has the game,1 controller, camera, and the sharpshooter accessory. I dont know which to get or what i need to be able to play the games, i had the kinect but im selling that in order to get money for the MOVE. I like shooting games so im sure Socom will be decent but its also about 40-50 dollars more than the MOVE only bundle. What do yall think is the best way to save money and get the stuff?

I’ll try to make this simple.

The “other” controller is the Navigation controller, and is NOT needed, you can use the DS3 (DualShock 3) controller in place of the Navigation controller.

Here is the tricky part. If you want to use the Sharp Shooter (gun that comes in the Socom 4 Move Bundle – http://www.amazon.com/SOCOM-U-S-SEALs-Deployment-Playstation-3/dp/B004PCFF40/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1306718436&sr=8-1 ), then the Navigation controller is REQUIRED, as it goes in the bottom of the gun (you can’t hold the Sharp Shooter and a DS3 at the same time).

If you want the Sharp Shooter, then I would suggest you buy the Socom 4 Bundle (assuming you want to play Socom 4), otherwise you will end up paying about the same just for the Move (mic looking thing as you called it), PS3 Eye (camera), Navigation controller and Sharp Shooter Gun.

You can buy the Move bundle ( http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Move-Starter-Bundle-3/dp/B002I0J4NE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306718594&sr=8-1 ), but then you would still need the Navigation controller and Sharp Shooter, which is about another $70 ($30 for Navigation, $40 for Sharp Shooter).

Just to make clear, the Socom 4 Move Bundle comes with two controllers, one is the Move and the other is the Navigation (because both are required for the Sharp Shooter gun), the Sharp Shooter gun, the PS3 Eye (camera), and Socom 4.

If it was me, I would buy the Socom 4 Bundle, then if you want to play Sports Champions (the game that comes in the Move only Bundle), buy is separately. If you didn’t like shooting games, or didn’t care about the Sharp Shooter, then I would say to buy the Move Bundle instead, but since you like shooting games, the Socom bundle is the way to go for you.

Should I go to therapy?

When I was 2 years old my parents died on lvl 15 Nazi zombie. This was a big lost for me and I just fell in a deep spiral of depression. I started drinking, after my 3 birth day alone. I knew I hit rock bottom. I even started doing modern warfare 2 and just couldn’t stop, I was mentally and physically addicted. I was forced to go to rehab and play kinect adventures. This was the hardest moment in my life and I just could go on. I quit early and crawled my way to Detroit were I meet up with a strange but nice group of people. They made me wear a white outfit and carry a torch. I knew this is were I belonged and they would eventually adopt me.On my 5 birthday, I walked into my new step parents room when they were playing with each other in black ops combat training. I ran away and never looked back. I thought I had a real family, but I was just a mistake. I looked around for a job but no one was going to hire a 5 year old. So I became a prostitute and made a steady amount of money. I was able to get my own apartment and still have some pocket money. I spent it all on crack one night and had unprotected sex. I woke up the next morning and soon found out that I had aids. But that was the least of my worries. Gears of war 3 was coming out soon and I had to start saving up. My doctor told me I had a year to live, so it was my goal to save up money for gears of war 3. But something awful happened. I found out that infinity ward may come out with a new call of duty and I just can’t make up my mind on what game I should get. Please help or I’m just going to loose it!
