Well, XBOX360 has outsold the WII in the US.  Xbox 360′s sales spiked 32 percent for the week of August 23rd through August 29th. Does this bode well as a sign for the Christmas season?

Steve Balmer says this new xbox controller  system will be featuring a “natural interface” that’s “really, really close” to reality. This supports what Microsoft executive Shane Kim’s said earlier this week about a Project Natal launch that would be every bit as big as the original Xbox360 launch.

The Microsoft CEO, added that the console will feature a camera that recognizes motion and voices.

The new XBOX console won’t just be an Xbox360 with a camera, there is rumor (1up) it will be considered a new platform and carry a new name (Xbox Natal?).

Likely to be a slight upgrade of the current Xbox 360 technology, current Xbox 360 games would be playable on it, but future games would be able to take advantage of the added muscle.

Quite like what we see in the personal computer arena, games played on the more advanced Xbox would look or perform better. Publishers will still be able to support owners of both systems. Some developers have complained that they’ve already maxed out the Xbox 360; now this will give them room to improve.
