My xbox cannot connect to my wireless after being turned off mid-game.?

Help!

Earlier my parents invited my friend and his family round for a BBQ, and we both recently got Xbox‘s (I have a 250gb HDD console -224gb remaining space-, connected with a HMDI cable into a HD LCD, using a wireless connection to a Belkin router), so he brought his controller and we logged into my Xbox live account. Xbox live was working perfectly, and we played on Multiplayer Local split screen on Call of Duty: Black ops. About 4 hours into playing, it was around 12am, and his parents wanted to leave, so his dad came upstairs into my room, and told my friend it was time to go home. He was looking at the Xbox, so I said to him, “please don’t touch the on/off button, it’s touch sensitive”. Despite my warning, my friends dad still proceeded to touch it, and the Xbox turned off, with the disk still in, mid way through playing the game. The console turned off cleanly, and it appeared to shut down as it would if you turned it off by the controller. However when we turned it back on, it was very slow, and could not connect to the router. We tried turning it on and off, and resetting the router, but the Xbox just wont connect anymore. I’ve tested the connection, and it shows that the Xbox is struggling to connect with our Belkin router. At the time, no one else was using the connection, apart from the appliances that are constantly connected such as iPod touches (2), iPhone4 (1) etc (these devices have never interfered with the connection before, so I doubt that there is any problem with them). To check if the connection was faulty, and it was not only my Xbox having trouble, my sister and I both turned on our laptops, and they automatically connected to the router (with the internet working). It’s been nearly 2 hours after the incident, and no change at all. I’m totally confused as to what has happened to my Xbox, especially as I have only had it for a short period.

If anyone can suggest anything I can do, help would be very much appreciated. Thankyou.
Forgot to add, the sound, graphics, and controller are working perfectly normally.

I have a Belkin-sometimes it turns off randomly and you have to unplugg it for 15 sec.then wait about 2-5 min for it to connect to your network.keep trying until it works.you can also call Xbox and Microsoft to troubleshoot any problems. If it this dosen’t help then your friends dad might have broke it.

Xbox 360 controller problems!!!!?

I have had a number of problems with my controller recently and i want to see if anyone can help.
First off my controller doesn’t vibrate anymore and im sure its not the game because i tried with many games and it wont vibrate and the vibrate option is on.
Second, the four lights in the middle of the controller, there used to be only one light in the upper left light, but now 2 lights come on at a time and spin in a circle.
Lastly, my connection from the console to the controller keeps dropping, and i have to keep turning my controller on and off to connect.

Can anyone shed some light for me please.

Leslie Tompkins answers:

Might need new batteries….there is a small button on the top of ur controller that should make the lights spin around…that means it is searching for ur console…there is also a button on the console’s front that will do that too…hit both to help with connection

xbox 360 wireless controller problem.?

I just bought a second wireless conrtoller but it doesnt seem to work. it flashes green but wont connect. my first one i bought works fine but this one just wont connect with my console. the batteries are new as well so thats not the problem. anyone know whats up?

Leslie Tompkins answers:

You have to pair it to the console. Turn on the console and controller. Hit the connect button on the console first (near the memory card slot), then hit the same connect button near the top of the controller.
