Can I use my xbox 360 controller to play NES games?

I downloaded an emulator for the NES onto my comp. and am wondering if I can play the games with my 360 controller if I plug it into the USB port? How do I activate the controller so it works with the game? I’m new at this so any help is appreciated!

I bought a wired Xbox 360 controller for my computer (in addition to using it as a second controller). The wired controller has a USB attachment cord. You just plug it in and set it up. If you have wireless controllers then you won’t be able to use them on your computer.

How to play xbox on the computer?

I have no idea how this works, I’ve just seen it done. I know a guy (not well enough to ask him lol) that plays xbox games on his computer, and I’d like to know how it works… Do you have to download an emulator, or hook the actual console up to the computer screen, or do the discs just work on windows computers because of the microsoft connection? He usually uses an xbox controller to play the games, though I’ve seen him just use the keyboard on some of them.

Why won’t my wired xbox 360 controller work with project 64 emulator?

I have a wired xbox 360 controller and I am trying to play Ocarina of Time on Project 64. I downloaded a program for 64 bit windows vista(which is what i have) and it recognizes the controller and it says connected when i put it in the usb port(the button lights up green) except when i try to play the game, It will not work
I really would appreciate if someone could help me with this

Have you set it up? You need to go under Options, to “Configure Controller Plugin”
And then you have to press the button on the Xbox For whatever buttons you want them to be.

You HAVE to do this, or it won’t work.

xbox wireless controller for windows help?

i bought a xbox 360 controller with a wireless reciever so i can play games on my comp. then i downloaded a snes emulator(zsnes). i clicked config, and clicked input. but my controller didnt show up! =(
i dunno if its a licencing issue or what but i want to play mario dammit!!! help!

Yeah it only works with Games for Windows, not emulators.
