Starting out playing Pong on a TRS-80, I had to train myself to blink my eyelids when gaming. It was then I knew how hooked on a video game I could become.

Before that, hanging out at the bowling alley, I’d play Galaxian, Space Invaders and pin ball.

That was then and long time ago. Recently, while talking to a friend, I asked him if there was an easy way to download movies at home. He said, sure – Xbox 360 and Netflix. Of course I’d heard about the Xbox but, I’d not played a video game in years. (As I thought that, I remembered to blink.) He said, “You could try Netflix for FREE! Instantly watch movies streaming from Netflix on your Xbox 360. Come over sometime and I’ll show you.”

A few days later I went to see how he did it. He was playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I was dazzled by the graphics and the encompassing sound. After his round, he showed me how easy it was to pick out and download a movie using his Xbox and Netfilx. Plus, it was fast. (I could see myself being drawn in.)

Now, I am becoming an Xbox fan. Some think the Xbox controller-free controller Kinect is a big yawn using 20 year old technology. I, on the other hand, am quite excited about all the promise of this new Xbox controller.
